Dieu n’habite plus ici renvoie à un colloque qui s’est tenu en novembre 2018 à Rome, soulevant l’épineuse question de la disparition des églises catholiques. Le pape François avait même fait le déplacement, attestant de la gravité de la situation. Ce projet se penchera donc sur la retranscription architecturale et sociale de la mutation du religieux qui s’opère actuellement, en documentant le délabrement, puis la transformation, et enfin la renaissance des églises de France.

God No Longer Lives Here refers to a symposium held in November 2018 in Rome, raising the thorny issue of the disappearance of Catholic churches. Pope Francis even made the trip, attesting to the gravity of the situation. This project therefore looks at the architectural and social transcription of the mutation of the religious that is currently taking place, documenting the dilapidation, the transformation, and finally, the rebirth of France's churches.
