Invisible muslims
With the upcoming presidential election, certain issues in society have been taken up for purely political reasons, often pandering to common prejudice. Amongst these, is a polemic that Islam,  France’s second religion, is incompatible with the notion of the “République". Harnessing their faith and their citizenship, believers are fighting against radicalisation; developing a dialogue between different faiths, trying to respond to the needs of the young. That is a far cry from the cliché of some fantasized Islam.

A l’approche de la présidentielle, certains débats de société donnent lieu à une récupération politique, parfois caricaturale. Parmi eux, le discours de plus en plus répandu qui prétend que l’islam, deuxième religion de France, est incompatible avec la République.  Entre foi et citoyenneté, les fidèles luttent contre la radicalisation, œuvrent au dialogue interreligieux et tentent de répondre aux besoins des jeunes générations. Loin des clichés et d’un islam fantasmé.
