The refugee situation in Chad is critical, mainly due to conflicts in Sudan and the Central African Republic. Since April 2023, over 600,000 Sudanese refugees have arrived in eastern Chad, heavily straining resources and humanitarian aid. By May 2024, around 1.75 million displaced people were recorded in Chad, primarily dependent on external assistance for survival.
